BERLIN (AP) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a new use of Bayer Schering Pharma AG's drug YAZ to allow it to be used to treat moderate acne in women who also want to use an oral contraceptive for birth control, the company said Monday.
With the approval, YAZ becomes the first oral contraceptive approved by the FDA for three distinct uses, Bayer said in a statement. In addition to being approved for birth control use and now for acne control, it is also approved to treat the emotional and physical symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Good news for women who suffer from acne - especially those who want to stay on the pill to prevent pregnancy. As I understand it (and I don't, really) antibiotic-based acne treatments can interfere with the effectiveness of the birth control pill, so it's good news that women can get the benefits of birth control and an acne treatment from the same medication.
Many women, however (and men, for that matter) don't react well to medical solutions to acne. While they can be very effective they're no use if they come with an allergic reaction or other unwanted side effects. So, many acne sufferers may prefer to use a herbal acne treatment to ward off those outbreaks rather than suffer through a medical course.
Possibly the most effective herbal acne treatments on the market today is ClearPores. Well, when I say it's effective I'm not speaking from experience, but the doctors and dermatologists who have recommended the treatment seem to be pretty pleased with the results, and I've never been one to ignore an MD.

I order Zenmed system. The delivery was right on time as they showed on the website. I am very please with the results of the products as I'm starting to see some good results within a short spam of time (within 1-2 weeks). I have found some tips for adult acne treatment. May be you will be interested.
Twenty years ago, my dermatologist has diagnosed - acne. Since then I have replaced a lot of dermatologists, many diagnoses, a lot of drugs. In my case, medication, prescription dermatology have only temporary effect. I do not believe that YAZ will become a medicine that can cure acne. This is another line in the already long list of medicines.
